Rules and Regulations

  • NSS classes/activities will be held from 9:30-10:30 every Monday in the A V Hall.
  • Every student who has opted for NSS in the first year needs to earn 4 credits (two per Semester) by attending a minimum of 15 hours of activities per semester.
  • Students joining NSS in the Second year will have to clock up 30 hours of work beyond the NSS activities organized for the year, to make up for the attendance of the first year.
  • Every student of NSS needs to attend a minimum of 15 hours of activities per semester in NSS in order to earn 2 credits.
  • To be eligible to earn the NSS certificate from the Government, a volunteer will have to attend all the activities organized by NSS, beyond 15 hours and one special camp of 7 days during their three years of stay at the university to complete 240 hours of work as per the guidelines from the Government.
  • Remedial classes for the students who fail in the activities or are absent will be held in the Month of June-July as per the following norms :
  • 1 hour per day for 15 days   -    2 credits
  • 2 hours per day for 15 days -    4 credits
  • 1 hour per day for 30 days   -    4 credits
